In these volumes we have not only a gospel to the world at large, but also, to its own children, the Charter of the Hindu faith. For the first time in history, Hinduism itself forms here the subject of generalization of a Hindu mind of the highest order. What Hinduism had needed was the organizing and consolidating of its own idea, a rock where she could lie at anchor, and an authoritative utterance in which she might recognize herself. What the world had needed was a faith that had no fear of truth. Both are found in the words and writings of Swami Vivekananda. It is the latest gospel of a modern Prophet of religion and spirituality to the mankind.

The Life of Swami Vivekananda
(by his Eastern & Western Disciples) - Vol.1

The book provides the most exhaustive and reliable account of a man who not only lived an inspired life but was constantly a source of inspiration to others. Says C. Rajagopalachari: "Swami Vivekananda saved Hinduism and saved India. But for him, we would have lost our religion and would not have gained our freedom. We therefore owe everything to Swami Vivekananda."

Bhakti Yoga
Image Not AvailableLove in its varied aspects is the motive force behind all the actions of living beings. But love takes its highest form when directed towards the Divine or God. Among the different paths leading man towards the attainment of the Supreme is the one of love, devotion, and complete surrender. In this book Swami Vivekananda expounds how the path of Bhakti or Divine Love leads man to the Supreme Truth. Being an exposition by one of the pioneers in the religious and spiritual realm of the modern times, the value of this work need not be separately emphasized. Lucid, simple, and to the point, the words of the Swami touch the hearts of the readers and put them on to the divine path of love supreme. A highly valuable book for all the seekers of God.

Jnana Yoga
Image Not AvailableIn the pages of this book one comes across a brilliant exposition of the philosophy of Vedanta, and its practice through the method of enquiry and discrimination dealt in the light of Advaita Vedanta and science. These lectures were delivered by Swami Vivekananda at London and New York. The great Swami's exposition of a subject so abstruse in a style which makes its comprehension easy even for a child is nothing short of a miracle in English language. One of the best books dealing with the path of discrimination for attaining the summum bonum of human life and hence very important, not only for the seekers of truth, but also for the academicians and students of Vedanta.

Raja Yoga
Image Not AvailableFor thousands of years extraordinary and supernatural phenomena have been studied, investigated, and generalized, the whole ground of the religious faculties of man has been analysed, and the practical result is the science of Raja Yoga. In the modern times Swami Vivekananda has been the most authoritative oracle to propound this age-old science of God-realization. The main theme of the book is concentration of mind as a means to super-conscious state. The first part of the book comprises several lectures to classes delivered by the Swami in New York. He treats subject of Pranayama very scientifically. The second part is a rather free translation of the aphorisms of Patanjali, with a running commentary. This is a book invaluable for all the practitioners of meditation.

Sri Sarada Devi: A Biography in Pictures
The life of Sri Sarada Devi, popularly known as the Holy Mother among st the devotees and the spiritual consort of Sri Ramakrishna is an enigma. On the surface, it appears to be just a homely life of a Bengali woman mostly in a rural setting. Yet her deportment discloses unmistakable marks of dignity and love of a divine order. Her humility, her touches of serene silence, and the gracious and unbounded richness of her motherly affection, flashes the heavenly splendor of her inner life. The biographical album containing 165 pictures, includes almost all the available pictures of the Holy Mother, individual and in group, and many pictures of places and persons connected with her, arranged chronologically with a life-sketch, write-ups, and quotations.
